Julie Heidrick, Clinical Level /OGA
I work with students who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Developmental Language Disorder. Each student brings strengths, ideas, and potential. My role is to provide guidance and instruction that responds to how each individual learns.
All of my students are part of the team. We study together, ask questions, and challenge one another’s thinking. I teachs them, and they, in turn, teach me!!
At BrainWealth Kids, my goal is to build confidence while strengthening spelling, writing, and reading comprehension. Through careful instruction and evidence-based investigation of words, my students work toward greater understanding and independence, one discovery at a time.

Hi Julie,
I thought you would love to hear that your lessons are being remembered!
He made us proud this evening! Shelton has a project. He has to write about an animal that he finds interesting. The teacher provided questions for the kids to answer to help them organize their thoughts. We reviewed what Shelton wrote to make sure that he covered all of the questions that were proposed. As he reviewed his work, reading out loud, he realized that he could add more information that he learned that he did not add! Showing us he remembered what he read! Yes! LOL! Then we talked about the title. Originally it was “Cheetahs Are Interesting”. We said, couldn’t you come up with a better title? More interesting, based on the information that you learned about Cheetahs? Give it some thought. Then then said, “my tutor said that the title helps you understand what the story is about”. Then he gave us an example of a title and how to breakdown what the story maybe about! Yes! LOL! Then he smiled and by golly, you literally saw the light bulb go on! He said how about, “Cheetah’s on the Prowl” We said yes! Now that is exciting! A proud mommy! Who could not wait to share! I ran to get my laptop!
